Last known sighting: My compadre Dale Hickman stopped in DC about a year ago on Top Secret Government Business. (I'd tell you what it was, but then he'd have me killed, and then kill you.) At any rate, we ate Chinese food and reminisced a bit... as always, the visit was way too short. On the way to the Metro a drugged out dude gave us some grief, but my heat-carrying compadre handled the rogue. James Bond has nothing on Hickman!

I miss: I miss my family, the food, the beach, the culture...everything! It's weird how how I'l be walking along in my DC neighborhood, and the smell of burning logs from a chimney will transport me back to carnavales in Las Tablas, and the smell of sancocho cooked over an an open fire. Nothing tastes better after a night of partying!

Comments: I wish everyone love, peace and prosperity in 2007. Look us up in DC -- we love to have company.

Last Known Sighting: BHS alumni graduation in 1999, and the party at Diablo Spinning Club that same night. Also in October 2001 got together at Napoli's, with Tara, Arthur Sherry and wife Tamara, Frank Pereira, and other people I had not seen for many, many years.

Comments: I was elected to the Central American Parliament in the May 2nd elections, will be representing my political party in Guatemala where I will travel once a month for the next five years. Will hopefully be getting more involved in Politics, without losing control of my business.

Last known sighting: I run into Zonians unexpectedly from time to time, it is amazing how many of us live in Florida. I can be found at the annual Panama Canal reunions every year in Orlando hanging out with friends and family talking about the good old days in the Canal Zone. Great place to run into people you have not seen in ages and party with those you graduated with. I try to attend any Zonian function I can get to, the last one being on St. Petersburg beach recently. Of course I see Ernie Smith a lot, we get together when we can and hang out like we did in the 80's. I look forward to seeing him again before too long.

I miss: I miss everyone that I came to know while I lived in Panama from 1969 - 1986. Friends, acquaintances, and even people I did not know. I miss all the experiences I had growing up there. I wish I had been more involved in high school activities and sports when I attended Balboa high school, I would have made a lot more friends in the process. I would have run track, (long distance - mile or 5k), and been good at it. I did not discover running however until after I left Panama, go figure! I had a "HUGE" crush on Paula Meli back in my sophomore/junior year. Of course I was too shy to do anything about it. She was so darn "cute"! I miss the beaches, the music, the food and the people I went to school with the most. But I have a lot of great memories to cherish and remember. Panama was a "GREAT" place to grow up!

Miscellaneous: Thanks Tara and Mayra for all the hard work you have put into our class and our class website. Our 20th and 25th class reunions were well planned and a total success, not to mention "A LOT" of fun. They could not have been done as well as they had without you. We have one of the best graduating classes from BHS, lots of school spirit! Thanks again for everything you have done! I am already looking forward to our 30th, I volunteer ahead of time to take all the pictures again, LOL ..........

Last known sighting: Recently, I have been in touch with other "Honorary Classmates." Denny Bonewitz, who lived in Howard, now lives in Denton, Texas. Jay George, who was at Fort Clayton, is in the Army an he is stationed in Hawaii. Jay and I were classmates at West Point, running into each other in 1982. We also served together at Ft. Benning, Georgia from 1986-90.

Comments: I was an Army brat who lived at Fort Clayton from 76-79. I finished 9th grade at Curundu in 79, and would have been in your class if our family remained in Panama. I guess you can consider me an "Honorary Classmate." I remember quite a few faces from the yearbook. After a 6 year run in the Army (my last tour was in Panama), I went to law school and I have been an attorney for 5 years. If anyone is going to this year's or subsequent reunions, please drop me a line. I work in Tampa and my office is fairly close to the Marriott.
