Last Known Sighting: I attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where I ran into Gary Glass who also wrote a song for my wedding.

I miss: I always valued the acceptance that I received from the friends in class of 82. I only attended the last year there but it was the best. I miss the people. I will never forget Mr Holland's physic class where I was totally out of my league, being the only among the top rated male students. I think he gave me a "C" just for hanging in there.

I have been married to Tom Scott (BHS 80) for fifteen years and we have two sons, Justin Scott age 12, and Ryan Scott age 9.  I am employed as a Cashier/Translator/Substitute Teacher. We live in Hickory, North Carolina.

Last known sighting: Saw Laura Blau Tretner at a mall in New Jersey in June of 1999 when I had just returned from Panama working with AAFES for 12 years. Due to personal issues we chose to move to Hickory near family. All of mine is here and all within 20 minutes. Tom is with Bass Pro Shops as their Loss Prevention Manager.

I miss: I miss the ocean fishing. Our boat, our maid and the simplicity of life. Life in the US with no maid leaves little room for life, it is always go go go. I gave up working fulltime with full responsibility for that reason precisely. Between Karate, Soccer, Camps, Skiing... well, management was just no longer for me.

Last Known Sighting: Other than seeing everyone at the 10-year reunion, I had the chance to get together with Michelle Carroll when I was on my way to California, and then, Marilyn Carroll while I was living in New Mexico. Since I've been living here in San Antonio, I have seen Linda Perez. Also, I was pleasantly surprised to see Gretchen Lamb, who happened to come into our store to do some shopping. It was nice talking about Panama and everyone there we knew. She's the one who told me about the website.

I miss: I miss all the fun times we had, traveling to Costa Rica, going to the football games, hanging out at the pool and tennis courts, and especially going to Taboga as often as we could.

Comments: Our oldest, Lindsey, is married and is a dental assistant in Des Moines, IA. Jesse our recent grad is heading to West Point to become a part of the Long Gray Line.

Last Known Sighting:  I spent a week with Dwight Dunn when he was in Atlanta on a training seminar. We had not seen each other in years but had talked on the phone periodically. Dwight recently introduced me to the BHS 82 website and here I am.

I miss: I visit my mother every year in Panama. Over the years I have accepted that everything changes and that I was very fortunate to grow up in a place most people can't imagine and will never experience in their life.

Comments:  We have been living in Atlanta for the past 12 years. My present company moved us here from Chicago where we lived for 5 years. My wife and I also have our own consulting firm. When Dwight introduced me to the BHS 82 website, I found it absolutely fantastic and must say how lucky we all are to have such wonderful people helping us relive our past with this website.

• Future - I will be hooking up with Virginia Suescom in the next few weeks to go out to the Cococabana in Maryland for Salsa dancing ~ Woiya!

I miss: Mango trees in the back yard, beach house in San Carlos, get togethers with family that lasted until noon the next day, shopping down Central Avenue, the feeling of security, beaches, the food . . .oh my goodness the food! Knowing that you would run into friends no matter where you were headed, sports programs, Palm Trees, Cuna Indians, Balboa Clubhouse, Free Zone, Snow Cones (con leche), Palettas, Paraiso Golf Club, I could go on forever. We sure did live the good life...

Comments:  I pray that we can all bring a piece of our formative years in Panama into the lives of anyone that we come into contact with. Never lose the feeling that those memories bring that are so much a part of our character today. Viva Panama!

I worked as a professional artist for a few years and found that it made something I loved a chore (deadlines and strangled creativity).  I have been working in the Diplomatic Community for the past 16 years and am currently in Baghdad, Iraq.  I guess you get the travel bug and never shake it. 

Reunion Comments: I am so glad that we have folks organizing these things.  I was afraid that I would never hear from my old friends again. Especially since we all went separate ways after school.

Last Known Sighting: I have not seen any friends since I left in 1983 on a dark, rainy night heading back to the states.

Comments: Lived in Panama, Quarry Heights, from 1982 through 1984. Graduated Class of 1982 from BHS. My sister, Tara Rosser, graduated Class of 1983. Even though we were new to Panama, we met some great locals and other military brats. I loved Panama and had the greatest time. I just ordered a mouse pad from Lost Paradise with BHS and Class of 1982. If anybody remembers me or Tara, please email!

Blanca Ruelas

Blanca Amelia Ruelas was born on October 9th, 1964, and died April 6, 2002. Blanca was married to Edgar "Chino" Barahona and they had two children, Vivian age 14 and Edgar Jr. age 11. I moved in the middle of my junior year to Puerto Rico and although that's where I officially graduated from, I have more fond memories and friends I still keep in touch with to this day, from my times in Panama.
